Russian drone strike on Kyiv Oblast wounds five people, including three children

Tkachenko reported that the children are being treated for blast injuries and severe shock, adding that all three remain hospitalized.

“Among the adults, a woman suffered from severe shock,” Tkachenko added. “A man suffered burns, shrapnel injuries, and a deep cut to his foot.”

The man was also hospitalized.

The attack destroyed one house, damaged another, and wrecked a nearby car.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service clarified that all five victims are members of the same family.

“The children and the father were hospitalized, while the mother suffered from severe shock,” the agency said in a statement.

Russian forces also struck Zaporizhzhya, destroying the Amstor shopping center in an attack on the evening of September 17. One person was injured, according to the State Emergency Service.

The Air Force reported that Russian forces launched 93 Shahed, jet-powered Shahed, and Gerbera UAVs, along with Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine overnight on September 17.

As of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces intercepted 69 enemy UAVs.

UAVs made impact at 13 locations with debris from shot-down targets falling in three locations.

The Air Force added that multiple drones failed to reach their targets, and officials are still verifying the details.
