Confirmed missile impacts on the target ignited a blaze across the facility, the company stated in a release.

Volgogradpromproekt manufactures ferrocene-containing combustion catalysts and develops specialized chemical production technologies. The plant is under U.S. sanctions due to its role in supplying the Russian military-industrial complex.

Loud explosions were reported across Volgograd earlier in the night. Regional Russian governor claimed falling missile "debris" landed on the grounds of an industrial enterprise, while local monitoring channels reported visible fires.

Reports emerged of an overnight drone assault targeting the Russian city of Saratov in Saratov Oblast that same night, where uncrewed aerial vehicles struck an oil refinery and a distribution warehouse belonging to online marketplace Ozon, sparking large-scale fires.
