Ukrainian football star Mudryk set to join Tottenham from Chelsea on loan

According to the source, the 25-year-old's transfer will be a loan deal. The agreement will include a buy option worth £75 million ($101.5 million). That option is reportedly not mandatory.

Tottenham's head coach is Roberto De Zerbi, who previously worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk.

On July 31, the English Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) lifted the ban on the Ukrainian Chelsea winger. Mudryk had been suspended from football in November 2024 after a failed doping test that found the banned substance meldonium in his system.

Mudryk was cleared to return to football immediately after the English FA officially closed its disciplinary proceedings in his doping case.

After his ban was lifted, Mudryk traveled to Hong Kong where Chelsea was holding its preseason training camp, and played in a friendly match against Juventus, coming on as a second-half substitute. It was his first match since November 2024.
