Ukrainian special services reveal sabotage of railway in Belgorod Oblast, Russia, causing derailment

Members of Ukraine's military intelligence service (HUR), together with
soldiers from the Ukrainian military's special operations forces (SSO),
blew up a railway in Russia's Belgorod Oblast on Sept. 10, military
sources revealed to NV on Sept. 12.
The operation targeted the Stary Oskol - Valuyki section of the Belgorod railway, and succeeded in derailing a cargo train carrying supplies for the Russian military.

According to NV's sources, that section of the railway was mined, resulting in the overturning of the train's locomotive, as well as eleven of its carriages.
As a result, that section of the railway is currently unusable, military sources added.

On Sept. 11, Belgorod Oblast governor Vyacheslav Gladkov claimed that a train had derailed near the down of Novy Oskol due to "outside interference", though no casualties were reported. Russian prosecutors have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident on charges of so-called "terrorism."
