Ukrainian model Sofia Komar and Venezuelan brothers survive plane crash in Ciudad Bolívar

It is noted that the Ukrainian model and Venezuelan entrepreneurs sustained injuries, but the matter remains confidential, so it is not known for certain which medical facility they are in or their condition.

Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. A source told El Pitazo that the plane arrived in Ciudad Bolívar to refuel before continuing to Caracas. Photos released by the Civil Protection Service from the crash site show that the lower portion of the aircraft partially burned.

By comparing photos from the Instagram account of Ukrainian model Sofia Komar, El Pitazo representatives said, it can be inferred that the plane’s passengers spent more than five days vacationing in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stayed at one of its most luxurious hotels, Waka Wená.

The brothers Domingo Arnaldo Amaro Chacón and Guillermo Alfredo Amaro Chacón are reported to figure in a court case involving former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. El Pitazo representatives wrote that the Amaro Chacón brothers were mentioned in reports by Spain’s Unit Against Economic and Financial Crimes (UDEF).

According to case materials, companies linked to the Amaro brothers allegedly moved millions of euros through capital increases, raising suspicions among Spanish authorities. Part of those funds, the investigation found, allegedly reached companies connected to Rodríguez Zapatero’s circle.
