Zelenskyy confirms strikes on Russian chemical plants, military targets

Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s Defense Forces attacked targets in Russia’s Perm and Samara regions over the past day.

He said Ukraine’s SBU Security Service struck an FPV drone production facility, a tank containing petroleum products, a radar station and a Pantsir-S2 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft gun system in Taganrog.

Zelenskyy also reported a strike on a target in the Black Sea but did not provide further details.

Zelenskyy also said the results of earlier strikes had been confirmed. He said a Su-33 aircraft and two Mi-8 helicopters were destroyed in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast, while an oil facility was hit in Perm.

Ukraine’s General Staff said the Defense Forces struck the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, Russia’s Samara Oblast.

Explosions were also reported in Russia’s Taganrog overnight. OSINT analysts reported that a military airfield may have been the target of the drone attack.
