Ukrnafta begins ORLEN Arctic diesel deliveries to Ukraine ahead of winter

Ukrnafta, which operates Ukraine’s largest gas station
network, has contracted for ORLEN-produced Arctic diesel and begun deliveries
to Ukraine, the company said.
The first shipments of ORLEN Arctic diesel have already
arrived in Ukraine. As weather conditions and market needs change, the network
will offer diesel grades suited to the temperatures, ranging from
transitional-season fuel to winter and Arctic grades.
“We are also preparing in advance for the 2026/2027 season:
building the necessary reserves and securing diversified and reliable supply
channels so that UKRNAFTA customers have access to diesel fuel with the
appropriate temperature characteristics during cold weather,” Ukrnafta
Management Board Chairman Bohdan Kukura said.
As previously reported, the Ukrnafta gas station network began
installing gabions around its gas stations in Kyiv, including on the sides
facing roads and pedestrian paths.
On Sept. 15, Russian jet-powered drones attacked two
Ukrnafta gas stations in Kyiv, one on the capital’s right bank and one on the
left bank. Russian forces carried out a second strike on one of the sites.
On Sept. 11, Russian drones struck Ukrnafta gas stations in
two Kyiv districts.
On Sept. 10, a Russian drone hit a Ukrnafta gas station in
the capital’s Holosiivskyi district, sparking a fire. Four people were injured.
Ukrnafta JSC is Ukraine’s largest oil producer, operating across
the full production cycle, including exploration, oil and gas production,
oilfield services and management of UKRNAFTA, the country’s largest gas station
network.
The company has more than 1,106 oil wells and 131 gas wells.
Ukrnafta’s shareholders are Naftogaz of Ukraine and
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry. The company has been under state management since
2022 and is carrying out a large-scale business transformation.
UKRNAFTA is Ukraine’s largest gas station network, with
nearly 700 locations, and ranks among the country’s top three by fuel sales
volume. Networks that previously operated under the Glusco, Shell and U.Go
brands have been consolidated under the UKRNAFTA brand.
