Ukrainian gymnast Ilya Kovtun wins silver at 2024 Olympics

On the final day of artistic gymnastics at the 2024 Games, Ukraine’s
Ilya Kovtun won silver on the parallel bars with a score of 15.500, while China’s
Zou Jinyuan took gold with 16.200, and Japan’s Shinnosuke Oka earned bronze
with 15.300.
Oleg Verniayev showed a result of 13:300. During the exercise, our gymnast made a mistake and fell off the bars. He took 8th place.
Earlier, the Ukrainian men's team took 5th place in the team competition. In the individual all-around, Kovtun took 4th place, and Verniaiev took 8th. In the floor exercise final, Kovtun again took 4th place, and Oleg Verniaiev finished the pommel horse final with a 5th place result.
