36-year-old policeman killed in Russian attack on Kostyantynivka shopping center

Maksym Kislyuk, an inspector in the personnel support sector of the Kramatorsk District Police Department, was killed in the Russian attack on Kostyantynivka on Aug. 9, according to the National Police on Telegram.
The law enforcement officer was in uniform when Russian troops attacked the shopping center in Kostyantynivka, and he was fatally wounded.
The 36-year-old officer had served in the internal affairs bodies for 15 years, according to the police. He is survived by his parents, wife, and children.
"The police lieutenant served faithfully and loyally until the last day of his life. Maksym will be remembered as cheerful and always ready to help others... The management and personnel of the National Police of Ukraine are deeply saddened by this irreparable loss and extend their sincere condolences to his family. Forever in our hearts. Forever in the ranks," the statement reads.
Attack on the Shopping Center in Kostyantynivka on Aug. 9
On August 9, the Russian army attacked a shopping center in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, where a Nova Poshta office and the Eco-market supermarket were located. Fourteen people were killed, and more than 40 others were injured.
Nova Poshta reported that none of their staff were among the fatalities, though one employee suffered a concussion.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that the occupiers struck the supermarket with a Kh-38 missile. In addition to the Eco-market, which had about 50 people inside at the time of the attack, several nearby shopping stalls were burned to the ground.
