Abrams tanks for training Ukrainian crews delivered to Germany

The United States has delivered 31 Abrams
main battle tanks to Germany, which will be used for training Ukrainian
military personnel, U.S. Defense Department spokesman Patrick Ryder said at a
press briefing on May 15.
"I can confirm that 31 M1 Abrams tanks have arrived in Germany," Ryder said.
According to him, they will be used to prepare for further training of Ukrainian tank crews.
The Pentagon representative added that Ukrainian military personnel, according to U.S. estimates, will arrive for training in the next few weeks.
Ryder clarified that these tanks will be used exclusively for training purposes, and will not end up on the front lines in Ukraine later this year.
