Russian drones cause fire, damage kindergarten in Kyiv: photos

Russian forces launched a new drone attack on Kyiv in the early hours of Oct. 30. Reuters published photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack.
The air raid alert in the capital lasted for over two hours. According to officials from the Kyiv City Military Administration, the Russian military used their usual tactic, with drones approaching the city from different directions and at varying altitudes.
The enemy UAVs were promptly detected and neutralized by air defense forces and systems.
In the Solomyanskyi district, debris from the drones caused a fire in several apartments of a multi-story residential building. 18 people were evacuated from the building, and nine individuals, including one child, were injured.
At another location in the Solomyanskyi district, an administrative building caught fire, leading to the depressurization of a gas distribution point. The fire was extinguished, and there were no reported casualties.
Later, the Kyiv authorities released a video showing the aftermath of the Shahed drone attack in the Solomyanskyi district overnight on Oct. 29.
In addition to the residential building, a kindergarten was also damaged.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 62 Shahed drones and unidentified drones from the directions of Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk during an overnight attack on Oct. 29.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 33 drones, and 25 drones were lost on radar.
