Bulgaria provides $160,000 in aid funds to Ukraine
Bulgaria will donate more than 290,000 Bulgarian Lev ($161,218) to Ukraine, which will be allocated from the development and humanitarian aid budget of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local news outlet Telemedia reported on Aug. 23.
This decision was made by the Bulgarian government and is "a confirmation of Bulgaria's consistent position in support of the efforts of the EU and the international community," the Bulgarian government said in a statement.
The funds will be distributed equally between the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the UN Children's Fund, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
