China reaffirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty, calls for just peace — FM Kuleba

China agrees that Russia's war against Ukraine should end in a just and sustainable peace, not an illusion of peace, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Instagram on July 24 after a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Guangzhou.
"China reaffirmed its respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
“This is important, as it dispels numerous insinuations. My Chinese counterpart clearly stated that we do not need the illusion of peace, but a just and sustainable peace.”
Kuleba explained to Wang Yi that Ukraine will never accept any ultimatums from Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war.
"Ukraine has not succumbed to any of Putin's ultimatums, and Ukraine will never bend if anyone in the world tries to speak to us in the language of ultimatums," he said.
Kuleba arrived in China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on July 23. The Ukrainian diplomat will stay until July 25.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on July 24 that China had confirmed to Kuleba that it would not supply weapons to Russia. Beijing also allegedly supports Ukraine's territorial integrity.
