Denmark, Netherlands, UK, US announce joint supply of air defense systems to Ukraine

The Danish, Dutch, and British defense ministries, in conjunction with the the United States Department of Defense, have announced that they are partnering together to deliver high priority air defense equipment to Ukraine, according to a joint statement released by the UK Government on June 15.
The initiative will deliver hundreds of short and medium range air defense missiles and associated systems required to protect Ukraine’s critical national infrastructure and further ensure the success of counter-offensive operations in coming months, the report says.
Delivery of the equipment has already begun and should be complete within several weeks.
The Netherlands also announced that it will strengthen Ukraine’s air defense with four VERA-EG radars worth EUR 150 million ($162.5 million).
Brussels is hosting the 13th Ramstein Defense Contact Group meeting on June 15.
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov met with Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin to discuss, among other things, “the aviation coalition.”
