Russia hits Odesa maternity hospital in savage drone attack
A 59-year-old man was killed and at least four people were injured in a massive Russian drone attack on Odesa’s residential areas and civilian infrastructure, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported on Telegram shortly after midnight on June 10, posting photos of the aftermath.
The attack damaged a maternity hospital, several residential buildings, and the administrative building of an emergency medical station in the city center.
"The fact that an institution where life is born was hit is a manifestation of special cruelty," Trukhanov said, adding that the number of injured and the extent of the damage caused by the brutal attack are still being assessed.
Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes. Emergency efforts are underway.
