Russia has launched a missile strike at the city of Dnipro, injuring multiple people, city mayor Borys Filatov said in a Telegram post on Sept. 11.
“These monsters decided to ‘congratulate’ us on our City Day, striking downtown Dnipro with a missile,” said Filatov.
“Unclear what they were aiming at and why. Blatant terror tactics. Preliminary reports suggest there were no fatalities, but people were wounded.”
The extent of damage done is yet unclear, according to the mayor.
Furthermore, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Valentyn Reznichenko said Russian barreled and rocket artillery attacked Nikopol – three times in one night.
“Russian heavy artillery and Grad (multiple-launch rocket artillery system) lobbed 35 shells there (at Nikopol),” said Reznichenko.
“Three people were injured – two men and a woman. Both men are being treated in a hospital.”
According to the governor, several dozen homes were damaged in the city, along with several schools, and various infrastructure nodes.
