Over 4 million Ukrainians update their data after new mobilization bill comes into force, Defense Ministry says
More than 4 million Ukrainians updated their military registration data, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported on Telegram on July 14.
995,224 citizens updated their data through the Reserve+ app, Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), or Administrative Services Center in a week (from July 8 to 14), the Defense Ministry reported with reference to the Situational Center data.
Updating data for conscripts does not mean automatic mobilization, Defense Ministry personnel policy department head, Mark Andrusiak, said earlier.
There is no obligation to pass the Military Medical Commission when updating data, the Defense Ministry added.
Updating military data
A new mobilization law took effect in Ukraine on May 18.
The Reserve+ app was launched on the same day, allowing users to update their military registration data for TRC.
All conscripts aged 18-60 must update their information within 60 days, until July 16. Military documents will now include VIN codes (barcodes).
The ministry plans to implement in the Reserve+ app the possibility of receiving an electronic referral to the military medical commission, and online recruiting, Deputy Defense Minister Kateryna Chernohorenko said in an interview with NV on June 24.
Reserve+ includes an electronic analog of a military ID card and recruitment services - it will be a QR code, taken from Oberig registry database, having the same legal force as paper documents.
