NABU launches criminal probe against former Kyiv Metro chief

Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has initiated a pre-trial investigation into possible wrongdoing by former Kyiv Metro chief Viktor Brahinskyi, the NABU's Public Control Council reported on Facebook on April 11.
The criminal case was registered on March 15, and a
pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
Details of the investigation by the NABU have not been
disclosed.

into Brahinskyi and his family, growing asset portfolio, suggesting the
official was involved in corrupt schemes. Brahinskyi has administered the
capital’s underground rapid transit system Kyiv Metro for a decade.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced Brahinskyi’s suspension from duties.
The next day, Brahinskyi submitted a resignation letter.
In response to an inquiry from NV, the NABU reported on
March 25 that it had received a statement regarding possible wrongdoing by
Brahinskyi, as exposed in the investigations by Bihus.Info.
