New Zealand radio editor fired for pushing Russian propaganda

Radio New Zealand (RNZ) has fired one of
its editors for consistently making overt pro-Russian
edits to news stories about the war in Ukraine, RNZ reported on June 21.
The radio station detected false narratives in its news stories about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early June.
There are now reports of 36 stories that were inaccurately edited. The editor altered news stories not only about Russia's war against Ukraine, but also about other military conflicts, including those related to Israel, Syria, Taiwan, and China.
After the violations were detected, the editor went on leave and has now resigned.
RNZ is currently reviewing all news stories that were edited by this employee over the past five years.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
