Russian ballistic missile strike in Odesa kills 8, injures 18, including one child
A Russian ballistic missile attack on Odesa on Nov. 18, has resulted in the deaths of eight people and injuries to 18 others, including a child, according to Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration.
Four of the wounded are in critical condition, the regional governor added.
Explosions were heard in Odesa earlier on Nov. 18. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported at 11:58 a.m. that Russia had launched a ballistic missile towards the city. The regional administration confirmed that the missile hit civilian infrastructure. MP Oleksiy Honcharenko also reported eight fatalities.
The day before, on Nov. 17, Russian forces targeted Odesa's energy infrastructure, leaving the city without electricity, heating, and water supply.
