Rare glimpse into how Ukraine safeguards its HIMARS artillery

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has released a
video of one of the secure storage facilities protecting U.S.-supplied HIMARS
rocket artillery, which are highly valuable targets for the Russian
military. The footage was posted on Twitter on May 3.
According to the video’s narration, Russia has failed to destroy even a single one of Ukraine’s 20+ HIMARS systems, thus far.
"These are military facilities built by the Soviet Union, designed to withstand nuclear strikes,” an unnamed Ukrainian soldier says in the video.
He then goes on to suggest that some in the Russian military leak coordinates of valuable military targets to Ukraine, with them later being hit by HIMARS.
“I do not strike the barracks of the sectors from where I receive coordinates of (Russian) armored vehicles and ammunition depots,” the narrator says.
“Russian soldier, continue to send me the coordinates of the targets, and death will not fall on you from the skies.”
The Unites States delivered first several HIMARS to Ukraine in summer 2022.
Ukraine has received 20 HIMARS units in 2022, and expects to get approximately the same amount in 2023.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
