Danilov unveils reasons for intense discussions at General Staff meetings
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, shared insights into the animated debates unfolding during meetings of the General Staff led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in a recent interview with Radio NV.
"During each of the 121 General Staff meetings, robust discussions have unfolded on a range of issues,” Danilov said.
“The atmosphere can become quite charged, but it's essential to understand that this doesn't necessarily imply disagreements or misunderstandings," he said.
He characterized this dynamic as a "routine part of the work process" that propels progress forward.
"It's not uncommon for everyone to express their opinions at the General Staff, even when those opinions don't always align. However, crucial decisions for our state emerge through these discussions," he added.
According to him, every General Staff meeting involves the participation of Armed Forces generals.
"When reports are presented, and there are requests that, unfortunately, we cannot fulfil entirely, that's when the real work begins,” Danilov said.
“Discussions revolve around finding alternatives, determining necessary actions, and ensuring that decisions align with the complex situations we face."
