Overnight Russian attacks on Kharkiv aimed at terrorizing civilians, defense official says

The purpose of the recent overnight Russian drone attacks on Kharkiv is to terrorize civilians, Ivan Sokol, the director of the Civil Protection Department of Kharkiv Oblast Administration, said in an interview with Radio Svoboda on Nov. 3.
“The sole objective is to terrorize the peaceful population. When traveling to the areas where the enemy strikes, it is evident that there are no military targets there whatsoever and there never were. This is pure terrorism against the civilian population,” said Sokol.
During the overnight attack, the initial attack of kamikaze drones targeted a civilian infrastructure object in the suburbs of Kharkiv. There was soon a second attack while rescue workers were at the scene. No casualties were reported.
Later, at least four Shahed attacks on Kharkiv were carried out.
In Kharkiv Oblast, approximately ten drone hits were recorded, resulting in damage to an educational institution, an auto service station, residential buildings, and vehicles. Eight individuals, including two children, received medical assistance due to severe shock.
In Lviv Oblast, five drone strikes targeted infrastructure objects.
