Russian artillery struck the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, head of the regional administration Valentin Reznichenko said in a Telegram post on July 31.
"The Russian army continues to terrorize our cities and towns,” said Reznichenko.
“Nikopol’s residential areas were hit with as many as 50 Grad (multiple-launch rocket artillery system) rounds.”
According to the official, a 67-year-old man was injured in the attack.
A house was destroyed, with several dozen more impacted by the strikes, Reznichenko added. A school, a kindergarten, and several apartment blocks sustained additional damage.
Emergency services are working to repair damaged water and gas pipes on site.
