27 injured – including 4 children sent to hospital – after blast from Russian rocket knocks over bus
At least 27 people were injured, including five children, after the blast wave from a Russian rocket knocked over a minibus in Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, regional governor Serhiy Lysak reported on Telegram on Jan. 8.
Boys aged 4 and 8, and girls aged, 11, 16, and 17, were injured in the attack. 11 people were hospitalized, including four children.
Earlier reports said 24 people were injured.
The attack also caused a fire to break out, though it has since been extinguished, Lysak said. Three administrative buildings, two gas stations, a five-story building, and a car were also damaged.
Russia launched another multi-wave missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight on Jan. 8. Explosions have been heard in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Khmelnytsky oblasts.
A 63-year-old woman was killed when the Russians hit a private house in Zmiiv, Kharkiv Oblast early on Jan. 8, resulting in at least two other injuries, Kharkiv regional governor, Oleh Synehubov, reported.
Four residents were injured due to an attack in Zaporizhzhya.
At least two people were killed in Russia’s missile attack on Khmelnytsky Oblast, the regional administration announced.
One person was killed in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast after Russia targeted a shopping center and residential neighborhood in the city, the regional administration announced.
Russia launched at least four strikes on Kharkiv, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov reported on Telegram. The weapons used in the assault are still under investigation.
