One dead and five wounded in 112 shelling attacks on Kherson Oblast
One person was killed and five others were wounded in 112 Russian shelling attacks on Kherson Oblast over the past day, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration, reported on Telegram on Jan. 6.
These 112 attacks consisted of 671 shells fired, with Russian forces using mortars, artillery, MLRS, tanks, UAVs, and aviation in their assaults. Kherson city itself was targeted by 39 projectiles, Prokudin said.
Impacts were recorded in residential areas of Kherson Oblast settlements, as well as at an agricultural enterprise.
Russia regularly attacks Kherson and its surrounding areas. A Dec. 31 strike on Kherson city killed a teenager and injured another child, while shelling in the town of Veletenske killed one woman on Jan. 1.
During the night of Jan. 5, the Russian army targeted the village of Vysoke in the Tyahynska community of Kherson Oblast with three strikes, resulting in seven injuries, including a 14-year-old teenager.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
