In the early hours of July 20, the Russian military carried out another massive missile attack in southern Ukraine, again targeting Odesa and Mykolaiv.
During the attack, Kh-22, Oniks, Kalibr, Iskander missiles and Shahed suicide drones were used.
NV is monitoring the consequences of the night attack.

Kh-22s fly at high speeds - over 4,000 km/h - and approach the target on a ballistic trajectory, Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat told Radio Liberty on July 20.
In order to shoot them down, for example, Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems are needed.
Oniks are anti-ship missiles that Russians launch from the Bastion coastal complex from the territory of occupied Crimea.
They initially fly at high altitude at a speed of over 3,000 km/h. And when they approach the target, they descend to 10-15 meters.
"Very low above the water surface," explained Ihnat.
“In this case, they [the Russians] use them against land targets, along the sea coast - Odesa, Mykolaiv. Thus, it is difficult to shoot down something that flies very low. It is difficult to detect it, let alone shoot it down.”

The White House has warned that Russia could expand its attacks and, in addition to Ukraine's grain infrastructure, target civilian vessels in the Black Sea, Reuters reports.
According to National Security Council spokesman Adam Hodge, information available to U.S. officials indicates that Russia has installed additional sea mines on the approaches to Ukrainian ports.

In total, Russia fired 38 munitions: 19 cruise missiles and 19 kamikaze drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force:
- 7 Oniks cruise missiles from the Bastion coastal missile complex (Crimea);
- 4 Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles - launched from eight Tu-22MZ aircraft (Black Sea);
- 3 sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles, allegedly from a submarine (Black Sea) - two were shot down;
- 5 Iskander-K ground-launched cruise missiles (Crimea) - three were shot down;
- 19 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from two directions - southern (Chauda, Crimea) and northeastern (Kursk) - 13 of them were shot down.
18 out of 38 air targets were destroyed as a result of the night's combat operations.
08:30 Sumy was attacked by Shahed drones at night, injuring a nurse, and damaging a health center, reported the Sumy Oblast Military Administration.
"Tonight, around 01:30 a.m, the city of Sumy was attacked by three Shahed 136 UAVs," the statement said.
“One of them was shot down, the second was shot down by the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the third hit the building of an out-of-school recreation center. As a result of the hit, the premises of the institution were damaged.”
The fire has already been extinguished at the site of the hit. An ambulance crew provided assistance to the nurse of the institution.

Four people were injured in a night attack in Odesa, the head of the press center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, said during the national telethon program.
An administrative building was destroyed in the city, and a blast wave damaged buildings. In the region, the Russians hit the warehouses, and there is no information about the wounded.

Nine people have been hospitalized, but Mayor Sienkevych does not report any deaths.
07:00 The number of injured in Mykolaiv has increased to 18 people, including five children.
"A total of 18 people were injured, nine of them hospitalized, including five children, two people were rescued from the rubble. It's a miracle that we managed to save them," wrote Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv Oblast State Administration.
Kim also reported that the injured children include a baby under the age of one, a three-year-old child and a 16-year-old teenager.
