Russia targets Ukraine's civilian rail, injuries reported as Dnipro station suspends services
Russia attacked Ukraine's civilian railway in Dnipro on April 19, injuring railway workers and causing the station to suspend services, Ukraine's state railway Ukrzalizytsia (UZ) reported.
Rescuers are on-site to aid the injured.
Trains are not arriving at Dnipro station, instead being directed to the Nizhnyodniprovsk and Goryainove stations as final stops, UZ said.
The company also provided updates on train delays:
- No. 38 Kyiv — Zaporizhzhya
- No. 80 Lviv — Dnipro
- No. 120 Kyiv — Zaporizhzhya
Forwarding trains to Zaporizhzhya will be rerouted from the Goryainove station.
Attack on Dnipro and oblast on April 19
Russia targeted Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Ukraine's south in a Shahed drone and rocket attack overnight on April 19.
Elsewhere in Dnipro, two people were killed, and at least 15 injured after a high-rise building in central Dnipro was hit, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration reported.
Fatalities were reported in Synelnykivsky municipality, including an 8-year-old child.
Children among the wounded.
Two infrastructure objects were also damaged in Dnipro.
Russia fired nine rockets in the morning, and another two overnight, Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak reported.
