Russian overnight combined attack hits high-rise building and gas station in Kyiv Oblast

The Russian forces attacked Kyiv Oblast with missiles and drones overnight, Kyiv Governor Ruslan Kravchenko reported on Facebook on Aug. 6.
Air Defense managed to shoot down all enemy targets. No residential and critical infrastructure objects were struck directly, as well as no casualties were reported.
Operational groups are now examining the aftermath at the sites where debris from downed enemy targets fell.
Recorded damage as of 8 a.m.:
- of an apartment building: there are shattered windows on the first and second floors, where non-residential premises are located
- two gas stations — broken windows, chopped facades
- a multi-story building with office premises - shattered doors, windows, a chopped facade
- the forester's house was damaged by the shock wave.
There are no fires at the places where the debris fell.
Emergency services continue working to eliminate the enemy attack aftermath, Kravchenko said.
An air alert was issued in some Ukraine's oblasts on the night of August 6. Explosions rang out in Kyiv swiftly after. Russia used ballistic weapons - Iskander-M or KN-23 missiles, Kyiv City Military Administration warned.
Air defense operated in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast.
