IRI to release annual survey about quality of life in Ukrainian cities

The International Republican Institute (IRI) will release its annual quality of life survey on June 5 after polling nearly 17,000 Ukrainians across the country.
Conducted in April-May by the Rating Sociological Group on behalf of IRI's Analysis and Sociological Research Center, the surveyors spoke to Ukrainians in every oblast center, except those under occupation.
Ukrainians were polled on both their general mode, as well as the quality of life and municipal services in their city. Other questions were on the perception of corruption, the activities of local authorities, adaption to wartime conditions, the economy, and local budgets.
IRI has conducted the survey annually since 2015, except for 2022 following the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The findings will be released at the Democratic Governance Conference in Kyiv on June 5.
Mayors from across Ukraine will be in attendance, as well as central government representatives, international partners, and civil society leaders.
Participants will discuss challenges in their communities during war, transparency solutions, and including cities in reconstruction plans.
