Truck driver caught spying on Ukrainian warships near Odesa port

A long-haul truck driver suspected of spying on the locations and movements of Ukrainian warships was caught “red-handed” near the port of Odesa, the Ukraine’s SBU Security Service reported on March 15.
The suspect, operating under the guise of a truck driver, secretly recorded the geolocation of Ukrainian Navy ships while picking up cargo at various ports, with a particular focus on the bases and sea routes of armored artillery boats.
The enemy used the obtained information to plan military operations in the maritime waters of Ukraine.
The investigation revealed that the suspect was also tasked with spying on the Ukrainian ground forces deployed along the Black Sea coast.
The suspect is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment on charges of high treason.
