Ukraine debunks Russian claim of killing hundreds of soldiers with vacuum bomb

Russia claimed to have killed 300 Ukrainian soldiers with an "accurate strike by an aerial munition," but Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) called this information "absolute nonsense and propaganda," CNN reported on March 16.
The information about the alleged liquidation of the Ukrainian troops was reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a meeting at the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Alexei Kim. According to him, the Russian military dropped a 1.5-ton bomb on the deployment point of the Kraken special forces. He claimed that a "volumetric detonation bomb" was used during the air attack.
In a comment to CNN, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Andriy Yusov, said that this statement by the Russians is "absolute nonsense and propaganda," as well as Russian information about killing 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk and Belgorod oblasts on March 15.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Tavria Defense Forces, Dmytro Lykhoviy, denied the Russian statement about the alleged "strike on the training ground" in Selydove, Donetsk Oblast, and the "fatalities" among the 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade soldiers.
