Ukraine's General Staff confirms strike on Taneco oil refinery in Russia's Tatarstan

Ukrainian forces struck the Taneco oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, overnight, Ukraine's General Staff said on Aug. 10.
The attack caused a fire at the facility.
Ukrainian forces also struck a Russian repair unit in Khrustalnyi, Luhansk Oblast, and a logistics depot in Novoselydivka, Donetsk Oblast. A field artillery depot was also hit in Boiove, Donetsk Oblast.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces provided an update on the Aug. 8 strike on the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, saying the facility's AVT-6 primary oil refining unit was damaged.
The General Staff also said that a strike on the Hvardiiske airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea on Aug. 3 destroyed nine horizontal aviation fuel storage tanks and damaged two aircraft hangars.
Earlier on Aug. 10, reports emerged online of a drone attack on Tatarstan, with drones reported over Nizhnekamsk. Local authorities said Oblast had come under a "massive attack" and reported deaths and injuries.
