Ukraine takes out all 24 Russia-launched strike drones overnight, Air Force Commander says
All 24 Shahed kamikaze drones launched in several groups overnight from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsky District in Krasnodar Krai and Kursk Oblast were shot down, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported on Telegram on Aug. 5.
They were recorded and intercepted by mobile firing groups, anti-aircraft units, and electronic warfare (EW) units over Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
A series of explosions were reported overnight in Kharkiv.
