Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada urges international partners and organizations to condemn sham ‘elections’ on occupied territories

On Mar. 14 Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada [Parliament] called on foreign governments and parliaments, international organizations, and parliamentary assemblies to condemn Russia's illegal sham presidential "elections" in the Temporarily Occupied Territories (TOT).
The Parliament's resolution urged Kyiv's partners to counter Russia's attempts to bring international “observers” to the TOT in order to legitimize the "elections," the opposition Holos party MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote on Telegram.
The resolution also calls for partners to:
- Impose sanctions against those involved in organizing illegal elections in the TOT
- Consolidate the efforts of all Ukraine's partners to increase military assistance
- Actively participate in the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's peace formula.
On the same day, HUR spokesman Vadym Skybytskyi said that the Kremlin-appointed heads of the TOT have been tasked with fabricating 75% support for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in the upcoming sham presidential “elections.”
The upcoming so-called “elections” in Russia are scheduled for March 15-17.
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said that voting in the occupied territories of Ukraine would be “illegal, and null and void.”
On Dec. 8, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced his participation in the Russian Presidential election.
On March 11, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military District Administration, Artem Lysogor, said that “early voting” in the Russian Presidential sham election would take place in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast for four days.
Earlier it was reported that “early voting” had also started in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya Oblast
