The axis of evil has won this round.
Hamas is not lying. They have achieved their goals. They have won this round. And with every Israeli strike, they win even more. Israel is trapped. Israel has lost this round. The EU lost. The United States lost. Hamas, Tehran, Beijing, and Moscow succeeded.
What is the purpose of the terrorist attack? Not the terrorist attack itself, but the reaction to it. Hamas's goal was to provoke such an emotional reaction in Israel that it would have no choice but to take radical action in response. Cruelty is not only a trait of terrorists; it is also a tool. Israel is doing what Hamas wanted from them. They are acting emotionally and taking revenge. So, Hamas rejoices, and its sponsors are happy.
What was the purpose of the Hamas attack? Hamas wanted blood in the Gaza Strip. The blood of Israelis was only a method of achieving this goal. This blood makes reaching an agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel impossible, which would be a breakthrough for peace in the Middle East. The Israeli-Saudi detente could ensure the realization of the India-Middle East-Europe route leading from India through the Arabian Peninsula to the port of Haifa, and on to the Mediterranean, weakening China's position by improving India’s.
The deal is definitely already off. It will be impossible to return to it in the near future.
The paradox is that everyone understands everything. Saudi Arabia understands that Hamas wanted blood in the Gaza Strip to derail the deal. It understands that Iran is inflicting this blow on them with the hands of its proxies.
It understands this, but it cannot act otherwise. Israel understands. The United States understands. Everyone understands everything. But they cannot fix anything.
Israel cannot stop because the citizens of Israel want blood and revenge.
The blood of Israelis was only a method of achieving this goal.
Saudi Arabia cannot help but react to Israel, because its citizens will not understand their Prince’s actions. They are hostage to the hatred that has been nurtured against Jews for decades, just as Israel is hostage to its desire for revenge.
There is nothing the US can do about it. They understand everything and can only try to minimize the damage.
China is rejoicing. Iran is happy. Putin is happy. They all hold Israel responsible, taking the same position and flirting with the leftists in the West, who are also used to repeating the Comintern's rhetoric (nothing new, it has been done many times before) about the Israeli military and the suffering children of Palestine. All even though they are the ones who are most excited about the blood that will be shed in the Gaza Strip.
India is silent. It cannot do anything, and everything played out without them. Perhaps more Russian petrodollars will now be stuck in rupees.
The main thing about a terrorist attack is not the attack itself, but the response to it. The September 11 attacks in the United States weakened America for a long time precisely because Washington got involved in two wars - in Afghanistan and Iraq. It allowed itself to be provoked.
Israel is weakening itself in the long run, even by destroying Hamas' infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. It is only a matter of time before these tunnels are dug again. More people will want to stand under the Hamas banner out of revenge. Revenge for the blood that Hamas itself provoked. Meanwhile, the leaders of Hamas are still sitting in safety, calling for blood from where theirs cannot be shed.
This is how the blood business works.
What is the moral of this? There is no moral. Only facts. Western civilization has lost this round. The axis of evil is celebrating. We can only hope that this defeat, not in the final battle but in the intermediate one, will make someone in Washington sober up and remember that history is not over, and they may not be the ones to put the final point. Russia's war against Ukraine is part of this battle, and the axis of evil must be punished.
