600+ drones target Moscow Oblast in major overnight raid

A total of 620 Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow Oblast overnight on August 18, marking one of the largest aerial assaults on the Russian capital region, according to Russian officials and local monitoring groups.
A fire broke out at a Wildberries warehouse in Moscow Oblast following the overnight attack, Moscow Oblast Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed. Vorobyov called the strike "massive" and claimed that air defenses shot down 150 drones over the region.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that 620 drones targeted the capital region between Monday evening and 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, with 180 allegedly shot down over the area.
Russian authorities did not report the extent of the damage or casualties. Sobyanin stated only that emergency services were working at the debris crash sites.
Russian monitoring channels published videos and photos showing drones flying and air defenses firing.
Russian authorities imposed temporary flight restrictions at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Sheremetyevo airports.
