Operatives from the Group 13 special unit of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) destroyed two high-value Russian S-400 Triumf air defense launchers and an Orion drone control antenna, officials reported on August 10.
The early August raid marked a tactical milestone, utilizing multipurpose Magura unmanned surface vessels as seaborne launchpads for the FPV drones that struck the high-value ground targets in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The strike inflicted heavy financial losses on Moscow, with the destruction of the S-400 launchers and the drone control antenna estimated to cost tens of millions of dollars, according to military intelligence officials.
Group 13 operators recently destroyed a Podlet radar control vehicle and a Parol-4 radar interrogator in occupied Crimea on August 3.
Military intelligence officials confirmed on August 7 that Magura platforms had successfully struck targets in occupied Yalta.
