Ukrainian woman murdered in Germany; baby found alive with suspects

The child of a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman who was killed in Germany has been found alive with two men. They were arrested and accused of murder in Mannheim, German newspaper Bild reported on Telegram.
Two men found with a baby are the main suspects in the case. The infant girl was taken to the hospital, according to the police.
DNA analysis confirmed that she is the daughter of the recently murdered Ukrainian citizen. Law enforcement officers are now attempting to locate the 51-year-old mother of the murdered woman.
A 27-year-old Ukrainian woman was reported dead in Germany on March 14 after previously being considered missing. Investigators suggest that violence was the cause of death.
The woman was traveling with her mother and young daughter, according to law enforcement officers. Both disappeared thereafter. The mother of the deceased, 51-year-old Marina Stetsenko, is considered the most important witness by German police.
Ukrainian 17-year-old basketball player Volodymyr Yermakov and 18-year-old Artem Kozachenko were attacked in Germany on Feb. 12. Yermakov died at the scene from stab wounds, while Kozachenko was reported to have died in a German hospital on Feb. 20.
The boys were allegedly attacked because they were Ukrainians, according to the Kyiv Basketball Federation. German police had arrested Yermakov’s killer, confirmed Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko.
The suspect is identified as a 15-year-old German-Turkish high school student from Gelsenkirchen. Media reports indicate that the attack occurred after an argument between the children on a bus.
Three more teenagers were arrested in Germany in connection with Yermakov’s murder, as reported by news outlet DW on Feb. 16. The suspects include a 14-year-old German of Greek origin from Herne and two Syrians, ages 14 and 15, from Gelsenkirchen.
