No casualties following Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv Oblast
Russian forces have again struck Mykolaiv Oblast with missiles, Mykolaiv Oblast head Vitaliy Kim reported on Telegram on Sept. 3.
Overnight on Sept. 2-3, at approximately 3:10 am Kyiv time, Russian missiles struck areas in the Voznesensk and Mykolaiv districts of the oblast.
"The strikes occurred on open territories outside the borders of any settlements," Kim explained.
It's believed that the Russians used Iskander-M ballistic missiles to conduct the attack. Each Iskander-M missile can cost from $3-9 million.
There are no casualties, the governor confirmed.
Further Russian attacks on Mykolaiv oblast used drones and artillery.
"In the morning of Sept. 2 at 8:00 am, the enemy directed FPV-type drones against the village of Solonchaky, and at 9:02 am and in the morning of Sept. 3, at 4:54 am, artillery shelling [was recorded] against the Kutsurub hromada," Kim stated.
The drone attacks damaged a number of houses and cars, but no casualties were reported.
Russian forces also struck the town of Ochakiv with FPV drones, later shelling the area with artillery.
"There were no casualties," Kim said.
Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted six Iranian-made Shahed drones overnight on Sept. 2-3, Kim added.
Russia also conducted a missile strike against the city of Dnipro overnight, damaging a number of residential buildings. Casualties, including fatalities, have been reported.
Zaporizhzha was also attacked overnight, with Russian forces killing two people and severely injuring two more.
